Assistant key account manager

As a fulltime Key Account Specialist, your role is to assist the Key Account Manager in managing and enhancing relationships with key customers. You will be involved in various improvement projects, ensuring seamless communication and project execution. Your main duties include:

  • Establishing strong relationships with key customers and their suppliers through frequent site visits;
  • Utilizing your commercial savvy to identify new opportunities and working closely with the Key Account Manager to capitalize on them;
  • Supporting prototype evaluations at customer locations;
  • Tracking project progress, performing cost analysis, and preparing presentations;
  • Identifying and engaging new suppliers to expand the network as needed;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, planning, customer service, engineering, logistics, and production in Hooge Mierde, Poland, and the Czech Republic to ensure successful project execution;
  • Gathering and providing data to support sales growth.

Ideally, you live in Eindhoven or nearby. While you will primarily work from home, regular travel to the Hooge Mierde site, the headquarters in Merelbeke (Belgium), and client or supplier sites is required.

Requirements:

  • Degree: You hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of packaging and hands-on experience with 3D software are a plus;
  • Drive and Passion: With a keen interest in the technical aspects of our customers' environments, you have the energy and determination to discover and pursue new business opportunities, persistently forging new relationships;
  • Essential Skills:
  • Analytical thinking to identify key insights from data, helping to pinpoint opportunities within accounts;
  • A commercial focus with strong organizational and project management abilities;
  • Proven ability to develop long-lasting, trusting relationships with customers and suppliers;
  • Proficiency with Outlook and advanced Excel skills;
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
