Santa Run Haarlem
It’s getting close to Christmas time and what better way to get into the holiday spirit than donning a bright red Santa suit! The 9th edition of the Santa Run Haarlem is coming to town - the perfect opportunity to practice your “ho ho ho” and run for charity.
A fun run in the heart of Haarlem
Starting at Grote Markt in Haarlem, participants cheerfully dressed as Santa Clauses, angels, reindeer and Christmas trees will enjoy a fun run going through the city centre. Participants can walk or run either 3 km or 6 km on a beautifully illuminated course.
There is an option to get a Santa suit with your ticket at an extra cost, but participants are encouraged to put together a Christmas outfit from items they own or to rent a Santa costume to prevent waste. Not only will the Santa Run in Haarlem be a jolly time, but through participation runners and sponsors are contributing to charities that reduce child poverty.
The agenda for the Santa Run Haarlem
You can pick up your race number and Santa suit at RunX in Kruisstraat from December 11 until 5pm on December 15. After 5pm on the day of the race, you can fetch your starting number at the Santa Run cabin on Grote Markt.
Before the race starts, things will become festive from 6.30pm with a DJ getting everyone moving to the beat. There will then be a joint warm-up session at 7pm before the race starts at 7.30pm.
After an exhilarating walk or run through Haarlem, runners can enjoy an energising Santa borrel and join in on the Santa afterparty. Anyone can join, of course, even spectators who come to support the many Santas!
