The Delft Chamber Music Festival
The Delft Chamber Music Festival has been going for over 25 years, and is a cherished fixture on the calendar of the small city. Artistic director and pianist Nino Gvetadze is inviting world-class musicians to come together and give concerts against the historic backdrop of Delft and its surroundings. Enjoy superb concert experiences in summery and intimate settings.
Like last year, the diversity of concerts is great, ranging from well-known to brand new chamber music repertoire, a late-night concert, a family concert, the "Scratch Concert" (in which you can participate yourself), a multidisciplinary performance and an open air concert.

Highlights of Delft Chamber Music Festival 2024
The theme of the 2024 Delft Chamber Music Festival is "Microcosmos", in which not only the intimacy and magical world of chamber music can be heard, but in which various 'major' works from classical music will also be heard in small versions. The tent-pole piece of this theme is held on Friday, August 2 and is a performance of Bartók's Mikrokosmos.
On Friday, July 26, there is a free concert on the Markt in Delft centre. This Market Concert is intended as a gift to the residents of Delft to thank them for being such wonderful hosts to the festival.
If you want to take the opportunity to enjoy the summer weather, you can join a cycle route around three short concerts. The concerts take place in the villages of Schipluiden, 't Woudt and De Lier on Monday, July 29. There is also a shuttle bus running along the route if you don't fancy the cycle.
Children and chamber music
Saturday, July 27, is the family day of the festival. There are two Ukkieconcerts at The Cigar Factory, aimed at children under two years old. The musicians play and the kids can crawl around or clap along as they see fit. Later in the day there will be a performance of Prokofiev's fairy-tale masterpiece Peter and the Wolf, tailored for children from four years old.
