Postdoc Eetwijzer Project
Updated: 20 Feb 2025
Do you have a PhD and are you passionate about promoting healthy nutrition in hospital care? Are you fluent in Dutch? Then we are looking for you!
The Eetwijzer project is about to launch. In this project, we will implement Eetscore in various care pathways at Ziekenhuis Gelderse Vallei in Ede, Rijnstate Arnhem, and UMC Utrecht, in collaboration with the Alliance for Nutrition in Healthcare. Eetscore is an online tool that evaluates the quality of patients' diets.
For this project, we are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to assess how Eetscore can best be integrated into hospitals and how healthcare professionals can use Eetscore to conduct lifestyle consultations or make referrals. Your work will involve focus groups, interviews, and literature research. Experience in implementation research is highly desirable.
What will you do?
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will coordinate and execute one of the three work packages within the Eetwijzer project, in close collaboration with researchers and staff working on the other packages. You will develop a toolbox and an implementation strategy for integrating Eetscore into care pathways across different hospitals. These tools and strategies will then be applied to facilitate and evaluate the implementation of Eetscore.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- developing a clear action plan to move from implementation strategy to actual implementation;
- presenting (interim) project results to project partners and stakeholders;
- organizing, conducting, and analyzing focus groups and other project meetings with various stakeholders;
- acting as a central coordinator within the Eetwijzer project and connecting different work packages;
- clearly and concisely reporting findings in scientific publications;
- contributing to writing project proposals for follow-up projects.
Your team
You will work closely with the coordinators of the other two work packages. Additionally, you will have frequent contact with hospital staff and members of the Alliance for Nutrition in Healthcare. Wageningen University will be your home base, but you will regularly visit hospitals as well.
Requirements:
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who easily connects with others and is a good listener.
The ideal candidate:
- holds a PhD in a relevant field (e.g., health sciences, implementation research, behavioral sciences);
- has research experience in qualitative methods (e.g., focus groups), literature reviews, and data analysis. Experience in implementation research is a plus;
- has a creative ability to interpret different types of data and translate them into practical implementation strategies;
- has strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss research findings with various stakeholders;
- is enthusiastic about working closely with project partners, including hospital staff, healthcare providers, patients, researchers, and other stakeholders.
This project is a collaboration with various hospitals in the Netherlands. For this position, we are looking for someone who speaks and writes fluent Dutch.
