EHS Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead and manage Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational EHS standards, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a safe working environment for all personnel, including contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance EHS Management Systems to prevent incidents and ensure compliance with EU and Dutch legislation.
- Oversee contractor safety management, including risk assessments, compliance inspections, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure alignment with our client's EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Provide EHS training to site personnel, adapting to program or business changes.
- Evaluate and manage process, system, or procedural changes for safety compliance.
- Collaborate with Facilities & Engineering (F&E) on outsourced activities, ensuring contractor compliance.
- Conduct self-audits, set objectives, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Offer EHS guidance and support to management and other departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Engineering, Quality, or related field; MVK qualification required (HVK preferred).
- Proven expertise in EHS management, including contractor safety.
- Minimum 5+ years in a manufacturing or high-tech environment (pharmaceutical experience preferred).
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
- Hands-on approach with strong organizational abilities.
- Analytical problem-solving and change management skills.
- Team leadership, including supervision, delegation, and mentoring.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
