Credit Controller | UK market

As a Credit Controller, you’ll take ownership of a dedicated portfolio of accounts and play a key role in optimizing cash flow and reducing credit risk. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and proactively follow up on outstanding accounts within your portfolio.
- Evaluate new credit applications and adjust credit limits as needed.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and escalate issues where necessary.
- Develop and manage repayment plans in coordination with customers.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure data accuracy.
- Process and allocate incoming payments in various currencies.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and assist with month-end closing tasks.
- Generate customer account statements and prepare financial reports as needed.
- Participate in review meetings with internal stakeholders to discuss debtor positions.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and internal teams.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit control or a similar financial role.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written - C1+ level); other European languages are a plus.
- Comfortable with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or SAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Strong communicator who can confidently engage with both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within international teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Located within a reasonable commuting distance from Breda
