World's first QR code coins
On June 22, the Royal Dutch Mint will issue a limited edition of QR coded coins to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Mint in Utrecht.
If you scan the code, "you will be surprised at what you will see," according to the only Dutch entity allowed to strike and give out coins.
Note that the Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt is owned entirely by the Dutch State and has been allowed to strike coins for foreign nationals banks since 2002.
