Highs of up to 22C expected in the Netherlands on Friday
After one of the dreariest winters on record, spring in the Netherlands is shaping up to be nice and sunny. This week, the country will be bathed in glorious sunshine, with highs of up to 22 degrees celsius forecast for Friday!
Friday shaping up to be warmest day of the year so far in the Netherlands
Cold, clear mornings, plenty of sunshine, and balmy highs in the high teens and early twenties: this week the weather in the Netherlands is giving us lots to enjoy. After a chilly start to the week, with lows below zero degrees and some light frost on the ground, the temperature will steadily climb as we head towards the weekend.
The maximum daily high will rise from 15 degrees on Wednesday to 17 degrees on Thursday. Friday looks set to be the warmest day of the year so far, with RTL forecasting temperatures of up to 22 degrees in the southern parts of the country, and 20 degrees elsewhere.
Weekend weather to be changeable
Unfortunately, however, the sunny weather isn’t sticking around for long - this is the Netherlands, after all - and the weekend looks set to be changeable, with a mixture of sun and cloud and an increasing chance of light rain showers.
Although the temperature will drop, the maximum daily high will still remain around 16 degrees.
