More than a holiday camp: The benefits of summer day camps for children
Whether you need full-time care for your child during the long holidays or you’re looking for something fun to keep energetic kids occupied, summer camps are the perfect solution! With over a decade of experience, Zein International Childcare’s holiday camps offer children aged 4-12 a summer to remember. Running across multiple locations in The Hague from July 1 to September 3, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm, the eight different themes ensure there is something for every child.
What to expect at holiday camp
The programmes, ranging from Multi-Activity Camp, Sports Camp, and Photography Camp, to Cookery Camp and Circus Camp, have been carefully crafted by a team of pedagogic professionals, sports teachers and other specialists.
Each day is different, with a range of engaging, age-appropriate (workshop) activities relating to the camp’s theme, organised sports, outdoor time and exciting field trips. Campers are grouped according to their age, enabling our experienced childcare professionals to guide younger children during their day, whilst older groups have more autonomy. Every child will have great fun, learn new skills, discover new talents and make memories with old and new friends at their side.
“Holiday camps provide children with the opportunity to discover new skills and passions while having fun with friends, creating bonds and lasting memories.” Tamsyn Eddy, Zein Holiday Camps Leader
Building new & existing friendships
Summer camps offer children the opportunity to bond through fun activities, sports and games. Zein’s teachers are also trained to help campers develop social-emotional skills such as cooperation, connecting, selflessness, and empathy. These skills help children to build new and existing friendships with campers around them. Having made new friends and with a newfound sense of belonging, children will come away from holiday camps refreshed, with greater self-esteem and the confidence to tackle whatever the new school year has in store for them!
Developing interests & learning new skills
As well as building social skills, themed holiday camps are the perfect place for kids to develop their existing interests, discover new hobbies and learn different skills! Whether your child is a budding photographer, a sports star, loves to perform or even wants to try their hand at circus skills, there is a camp for them at Zein International Childcare.
At Photography Camp, children learn how to use a camera and apply various photography techniques. They will follow exciting recipes from around the world at Cookery Camp, and during Multi-Sports Camp they can discover new sports! When children successfully try new activities and master new skills, they grow in confidence. Zein has eight themed programmes, so your child can flourish throughout the summer as they learn in a safe, fun-filled environment.
Mental stimulation & physical activity
Holiday camps keep your children active and stimulated during the long holidays. Each day at camp includes outdoor time, sports and games as well as plenty of exciting, mentally stimulating activities. Fun and engagement are at the heart of Zein’s programme which offers a healthy, exciting and sociable way to spend the summer - and keeps kids off the couch!
