Get ready for a striking work of international theatre in the heart of Amsterdam, presented by the renowned Amsterdam-based English language theatre company, Orange Theatre Company.
The Last Five Years - English theatre in Amsterdam
Written and composed by Jason Robert Brown and directed by Elyse O'Shaughnessey, The Last Five Years is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties, who fall in and out of love over the course of five years.
Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress, open their hearts and minds as they tell their version of the relationship, proving there are always two sides to every story. Cathy's story is told in reverse chronological order (beginning at the end of the marriage), and Jamie's in chronological order (starting just after the couple first meet).
