Street Theatre Festival Rotterdam has grown

Formerly known as Welkom Thuis Straattheater Festival (Welcome Home Street Theatre Festival), Street Theatre Festival Rotterdam is a special event centred around Deliplein and Katendrecht in Rotterdam. Now celebrating its 12th year, along with its new name, the festival area is expanding to include the Dolf Henkesplein, the Rijnhaven Bridge and the Wilhelminahoofd.

The festival aims to bring performance arts back to the streets, squares, parks and other public areas. An exciting mix of edgy and carefree performers reaches out to a curious and open-minded audience. Street Theatre Festival Rotterdam is renowned for its ability to be hospitable and to provide openness and an exchange of ideas.

A free theatre event in Rotterdam

The fact that it’s a free event for all walks of life, means that it creates a special experience for everybody regardless of age, background and origin.
