About Doorn House

Doorn House (Huis Doorn) was the residence of the last German Emperor, Wilhelm II, who lived there in exile, from 1919 until 1941. It has not changed much since he died in 1941.

Baroness Ella van Heemstra, the mother of Audrey Hepburn, also lived in the house, spending a large portion of her childhood there. It is now a national museum and a national heritage site and welcomes approximately 25.000 visitors per year.
