Get instant insights into your finances

With ING’s user-friendly Mobile Banking App, you can stay on top of your finances effortlessly. All your ING products are organised in one simple overview, allowing you to see everything immediately. If you're curious about the costs of living in the Netherlands, ING's Insights feature helps you track your balance throughout the month, offering automatic categorisation of your expenses.

Would you also like to have more control over your monthly expenses, like coffee, shopping, groceries and more? Then you can set your own budget for your preferred categories and get a signal when you are nearing your limit. That means you’ll know exactly where your money is going, helping you budget more effectively and avoid surprises.

Look ahead: Predict your future expenses

Planning ahead is key to financial stability, especially when you're living abroad. With the Look Ahead feature in the ING app, you can see a prediction of upcoming expenses and your future balance. By providing a clear view of what’s around the corner, ING helps you avoid unexpected financial hiccups and gives you peace of mind.

Effortless saving for your goals

Whether you’re saving for a family holiday, home improvements, or a new hobby, ING makes it easy to reach your goals. With Automatic Saving, you can set aside a fixed amount each month in your Orange Savings Account - with no extra effort. Plus, the ING app allows you to set up to 10 different digital savings goals, so you can track your progress toward each one individually.

Want to boost your savings without even noticing? With Round Up & Save, every time you make a payment, the amount is rounded up and the difference is automatically added to your Orange Savings Account. Small amounts can add up fast, helping you reach your financial goals without having to think about it.

Be aware of the prohibition on investing for non-EU Citizens. I was preparing to invest half of my recent financial windfall to aid in my retirement plans. Guess what? Non-Citizens in the private sector cannot invest in anything at all... Zero. Unless you are a company willing to "invest" in the Dutch economy -- via a €1.25 Million deposit in a Dutch bank (for example, to aid in a start-up or other approved business plan) -- you cannot typically invest for your future. This was told to me (an ex-Pat American with a Resident Permit) by my tax accountant here in NL.
