Manager Central Sales | Dutch

The key responsibilities of the Manager Central Sales are as such : 

  • Managing and coaching a team of account managers and inside sales representatives.
  • Develop well balanced customer portfolios to ensure appropriate client coverage in line with overall trade objectives and customer segmentation model.
  • Directly responsible for a (small) number of accounts.
  • Work closely with Manager Sales Support to ensure that adequate support is provided to Central Sales Team and right priorities are set.
  • Analyze market statistics on a regular basis and report to the General Management and teams based in Head office.
  • Ensure high degree of customer knowledge by having account plans in place for key customers reflecting their potential, strategic value for CC and specific service needs.
  • Steer and promote selling of Group products and services and Non-Maritime products such as value added services, intermodal, cross selling and e-commerce. 
  • Monitor and follow up on customers performance by using data analytics.
  • Ensure that all relevant sales activities are recorded in NOVA Business (Sales Force application)
  • Report results, developments and sales activities on a regular basis to Sales Director. 
  • Monitoring and follow up on financial performance of accounts within portfolios.
  • Selectively participate in calls/meetings with Trade Management in HO
  • Participate in commercial events and develop a professional network within her/his commercial area.
  • Open communication and strong interaction with Trade Teams (HO/Local) as well as with Sales Support Team.
  • Provide short term and long term sales forecast.

Requirements:

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English language, French is appreciated.
  • Significant experience and knowledge of shipping processes is required
  • High degree of decision quality, problem solving and leadership skills. 
  • Customer focused, result driven and team player mindset.
  • Great communication and long-term relationship building skills. 
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills as well as ability to close Sales. 
  • Domestic / international travelling can be required.
