Are you ready to inspire the world through travel? We’re on the search for…As a Product Manager, you have an important role in Eurail, managing the progress of our core products to meet both customer needs and business objectives. Your focus will be on the Interrail/Eurail Pass portfolio, Reservations portfolio, and Timetable data.  Also, it's good to know that the team has agreed to meet in the office every Thursday and one more day depending on the main projects. Therefore, you will be expected to be in the office on these days to work side by side with your colleagues. What you’ll be doingAs our Product Manager, you will manage the product development and implementation of the Interrail/Eurail Pass and reservations portfolio to improve product-market fit, network coverage, and customer experience for our travelers worldwide. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Own, maintain and refine the Interrail/Eurail Pass product and reservation product vision, strategy, core product backlog and roadmap based on business opportunities linked to customers’ needs leading to long-term sales, with the crucial cooperation of the railway companies, consistently with the company strategy and the Multi Year Plan.
  • Development of KPIs (key performance indicators) for customer satisfaction, sales, margins and usage to measure the Pass and Reservation product’s success (e.g. product changes, pilots, promotions, travel behaviour etc.) to understand their impact on the market and translate the findings into tangible actions for product innovation via pilots and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for the impact on company KPI’s (NPS, sales, profit, yield, etc) and core product portfolio KPIs (e.g. product shares, travel behaviour) as a result of tests and changes in the core product portfolio.
  • Provide input on the core product portfolio for Epic prioritization and milestones to Product Teams on how to move the product forward together with the Research Analyst, Customer Journey Analyst, Service Designer and Product Owners.
  • Enable smooth Pass product delivery by involving multiple Agile teams through concrete analysis, epic definition, requirements, and backlog prioritisation.
  • Update the competitive benchmark to develop or defend the position of the Eurail Core Product and USPs in the leisure travel market. Support the Pricing Manager to ensure fair and competitive pricing.
  • Set priorities for the expansion of the Pass network coverage with the support of the Members & Associate manager
  • Connect and collaborate with various internal stakeholders (such as management, Research Analysts, and Product Owners) and external stakeholders (like the railway community and suppliers) to ensure clear mutual interests and product goals align with Eurail’s business objectives and customer needs.
  • Act as the voice of customers for the core product, translating customer experience and research insights into new products/services, refinement and improvement of the core product portfolio for the different markets and segments

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner (certifications in PO or Scrum are a benefit).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Design Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in creating data-driven business cases using customer and market insights.
  • Experience in Agile environments (SAFe experience is valued).
  • Industry experience in Travel or Tourism is beneficial.
  • Experience in e-commerce, product management tools, and SKU management is important.
  • Fluent in English, with proficient communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
  • Effective decision-making.
  • Ability to address roadblocks and engage with issues.
  • Enhanced communication and presentation skills, particularly with senior stakeholders.
  • Data-driven mindset; experienced in A/B testing and optimization cycles.
  • Critical, customer-centric, and adept at using data to support decisions.
  • Project management and negotiation skills.

  • Salary Scale: 61, Monthly gross salary (excluding 8% allowance): €6050 - 7500 (full-time) based on experience.
