Responsibilities/Tasks


The Contracts Manager (CM) is part of the Procurement and Supply Services (PSS) department, reporting to the Director PSS. The CM manages the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing agreements for goods, services, and partnerships.

Our client works with multiple stakeholders, including partners, clients, suppliers, logistics providers, and quality control agents. The CM ensures contracts meet standards, maintain proper flow-down clauses, and align with business needs. Collaboration with Legal is key to mitigating risks and ensuring compliance.

Contracting


  • Develop, negotiate, and maintain supplier, service, and partnership agreements.

  • Review and refine contract terms and conditions.

  • Provide input for tenders and procurement activities.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within PSS.


Contract management


  • Maintain the PSS contract database in collaboration with Legal.

  • Track milestones, deliverables, and renewals to ensure compliance.

  • Coordinate with teams for proper contract execution.

  • Monitor contract performance and escalate issues as needed.


Stakeholder engagement


  • Develop strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

  • Understand client needs and contracting requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with the Legal team.

  • Participate in business reviews with contracted parties when needed.


Risk management and compliance


  • Identifying and assessing potential risks within contracts and propose solutions to mitigate them.

  • Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company-specific policies, including those related to procurement and intellectual property.

  • Staying up-to-date with relevant legislation and best practices in contract law to guide the organization in its contractual dealings.

  • Translating relevant legislation or other international trends and best practices into daily operations and improvement of contracts.


Quality Management System and Continuous Improvement


  • Actively contributing to Quality Management System by developing and maintaining templates, SOPs, working instructions, etc.

  • Where appropriate, providing training and knowledge transfer within the company.

  • Actively participating in continuous improvement activities, seeking efficiencies and improvements where applicable.



Requirements



  • At least 5 years of work experience in contract management, procurement, or legal affairs, with a focus on drafting and negotiating contracts.

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and compliance standards.

  • Experience in handling international contracts and understanding of cross-border legal considerations is an advantage.

  • Experience in pharma industry highly regarded.

  • Proven ability to negotiate complex terms and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience within the fields of pharmaceuticals and/or public health highly regarded

  • Fluency in oral and written English is a must

  • Strong computer skills, including sound knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
