Our client is an international leader in global IT services based in Nijmegen; specializes in centralized procurement and global standardization of IT infrastructure. Which means they provide global deployment solutions, IT infrastructure management and professional services.
Responsibilities/Tasks
As Legal Representative you serve as the primary contact for legal and data protection matters, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting organizational goals. Key responsibilities include managing legal documentation and contracts, optimizing processes, ensuring GDPR and data privacy compliance, and conducting training across departments.
- Serve as the go-to person for internal and external legal queries.
- Collaborate with external attorneys to meet deadlines and align with organizational goals.
- Provide cross-departmental training on legal standards.
- Organize and address internal legal requests promptly.
- Provide proactive input to enhance legal processes and documentation.
- Draft, review, and update legal documents in collaboration with our legal counsel.
- Maintain a centralized legal hub with version control and ISO compliance.
- Manage contracts from inception to renewal, ensuring compliance and timely updates.
- Conduct monthly meetings to report on tasks and projects.
- Communicate legal changes, risks, and compliance updates to stakeholders.
- Stay informed on legal developments relevant to our operations.
Data Protection & Compliance Responsibilities:
- Ensure alignment with GDPR and data privacy regulations.
- Develop and maintain procedures for handling data breaches and legal issues.
- Conduct regular GDPR training and audits of data retention practices.
- Perform impact assessments on incidents involving sensitive information.
- Manage supplier due diligence with a focus on data privacy.
- Create and update Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) in line with legislative changes.
Requirements
- You have a Bachelor's or master's in legal studies.
- You speak English on a professional level.
- You have excellent skills in Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams etc.
- You have at least 2 years of proven working experience in legal operations, compliance, or a related role within an international-minded company.
- You have a strong understanding of GDPR and data privacy regulations.
- You have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- You have the ability to train team members effectively.
- You are proficient in legal document management and CRM systems.
