We’re looking for a Junior Payroll Coordinator to join our client's team in Utrecht. This role is vital in ensuring smooth and accurate payroll and timekeeping processes for the field staff across 14 countries.
You’ll handle tasks such as reviewing time entries, entering absences, managing Jira tickets, and ensuring payroll compliance for country-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Time Review and Approval: Oversee and verify time entries in Workday to ensure all hours are accurately recorded.
- Absence and Leave Management: Enter and manage leave requests and absences within the system.
- Jira Ticket Handling: Respond to field staff inquiries about timekeeping and payroll with professionalism and empathy, resolving issues promptly.
- Payroll Coordination: Collaborate with payroll providers to apply country-specific rates accurately (including Spain, UK, Germany, Croatia, and others).
- Manual Adjustments: Implement manual payroll updates, including one-time payments and adjustments for unique cases.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Leadership Development leads and other stakeholders to maintain seamless communication and resolve payroll-related queries.
- System Management: Ensure Workday is used effectively for time tracking and compliance, while staying sharp on updates and processes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in administration or payroll, ideally handling hourly workers and timekeeping systems.
- Proficiency in Workday (a must) and Jira ticketing systems.
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills, with a warm and friendly approach to field staff.
- Fluent in English and another European language (Dutch is a plus).
- Adaptable, fast learner, and comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
