For a client in the fashion business based in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Senior Prints & Graphics Designer.  Are you available and interested in the position? For more information, please read the job description below. Please note, the deadline to apply is Wednesday, February 19th at 6pm.
The Department and Team:
In this role, you will be responsible for the creation and execution of all visual applications across the various lifestyles and divisions of this iconic brand. The Prints & graphics team sets the visual editorial line for the entire brand and all its products, worldwide. We create visual assets that are designed and developed in line with the brand identity. Our goal is also to challenge, expand and refine the brand’s visual DNA every collection. 
This job is all about vision first. It is about understanding the direction of the brand, and translating it in visual mediums. As a result, you will be expected to create logos, repeat prints, t-shirt graphics as well as other images with ease. You will have extensive knowledge of how to apply your creations to fashion products. As such, you should be creative & visionary, but also pragmatic, detail-oriented and very aware of current fashion & art. You need to work well in a team and be a good communicator. You have experience managing projects and people. 
Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design visual assets to respond to a large variety of briefs.
  • Do visual research to feed off mood boards and seasonal briefs.
  • Is proactive in bringing new ideas to further the brand and the seasonal concept.
  • Can easily pick up someone else’s artwork to place it, recolour it and launch it.
  • Come up with interesting and novel ideas for both super creative projects but also can make more simple commercial products new and exciting.
  • Work with partner Product developer and Product designer to bring vision to reality.
  • Can coordinate smaller projects from inception to finish with minimal oversight if needed.

The ideal candidate:

  • College degree or a consistent practice with some degree of mastery (print design, graphic design, 3d design, video game design, illustration, fine arts, etc.. are all ok).
  • A few years of experience generating graphics for commercial purposes.
  • Visible interest in fashion, awareness of current visual trends.
  • Excellent computer skills (Illustrator/Photoshop), any other software creativity (such as 3d software) is a major plus.
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal. 
  • Is able to work in a fast-paced environment and has a hands-on mentality.
