Devops Java Engineer

• Develop and maintain new and existing functionalities (microservices) for engineering applications.




• Collaborate with team members to design and implement complex and innovative features.




• Actively participate in the refinement of features to be released by the team.




• Ensure quality standards are met through unit testing and contribute to integration and automated testing.




• Assist in developing and building the vision for the client.




• Engage with a larger tribe of teams and learn from domain experts.




• Participate in Stand By duty to handle incidents as part of the DevOps team.




• Spend approximately 60% of time on backend development, 30% on cloud infrastructure, and 10% on frontend tasks based on individual expertise.

A great long-term role of 37 hours in Amersfoort, with one office day (Thursday) in Amersfoort. In this role, you will be on a flex contract via us. The salary range is 5500-6500 EUR per month, depends on your experience and seniority.

Requirements:

* 3 to 5 years of experience as a Java developer.
* Highly proficient in Java 21.
* 3 to 5 years of experience with the Spring Framework (versions 5 and 6) and Spring Boot (versions 2 and 3).
* Experience in environments with critical applications requiring 99.9% uptime.
* Strong understanding of Cloud technology.
* Database technology (SQL) experience.
* Experience with CI/CD processes.
* Knowledge of SOAP, REST, and Kafka streams.
* Familiarity with either VueJS or Wicket is a plus.
* AWS Associate level Certification is a plus.
* Willingness to be on standby duty, assigned to different team members weekly (once every 6 weeks for an entire week).

You will work within a collaborative DevOps team, utilizing Scrum methodologies, and engaging as a product developer to drive innovation. Your contributions will directly impact critical projects, including those aimed at expanding fiber rollout efforts. The team is now focused on key initiatives including migrating from on-premises solutions to AWS/Kubernetes, developing new business features, and modernizing existing applications.
