New income requirements for highly skilled migrants in NL
The Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) has announced the new income requirements for residence as a highly skilled migrant in the Netherlands.
Anyone who would like to work in the Netherlands as a highly skilled migrant or as holder of a European Blue Card is required to earn a certain minimum gross monthly income.
The new salary requirements go into effect as of January 1, 2016, and also apply to holders of a European Blue Card.
The new minimum gross salary levels
The following salary numbers are gross salary per month, excluding holiday allowance:
› Highly skilled migrant older than 30 years: 4.240 euros
› Highly skilled migrant younger than 30 years: 3.108 euros
› Highly skilled migrant subsequent to graduation or after job-seeking year for graduates / highly educated persons: 2.228 euros
› Holder European Blue Card: 4.968 euros
Income requirements of other purposes
The income requirements for admission of family members and other purposes of stay will be announced by the IND on January 1, 2016.
