'Amsterdam Calling' new web series
Be sure to check out episodes of "Amsterdam Calling," a new web series by Molen Blauw Productions about everyday life in the Dutch capital, now available via YouTube.
Amsterdam through the eyes of locals
A combination of travel documentary and real life video blog, "Amsterdam Calling" highlights some of the coolest hang-outs, cultural events, shopping spots, museums and bars that the city has to offer.
Following University of Amsterdam film graduate Hannah and her friends, each segment shows them visiting a new area, place or event in the city.
The first full episode was released in January along with introductory videos that highlight the four main characters: Hannah, Steph Z., Rosanne and Stef K.
In the premier, Hannah and Steph Z. introduce viewers to the gastronomic treasures to be found at the Albert Cuyp Street Market.
Other episodes see the girls visiting places like the Pitch Music Festival, the Sky Lounge Bar and an opening at photography museum FOAM.
With a new episode each week, the segments range in length from four to seven minutes each and will amount to a total of 20 episodes when finished.
Through this collaboration, both Hannah and Molen Blauw Productions want to show Amsterdam in a positive light while following a group of locals on their quest for fun and adventure around the city.
