The Hague: A "clear" integration policy
Immigrants in The Hague have to accelerate integration according to "Verschillend verleden, één toekomst" that was sent to the Municipal Council last week.
The Municipality's new integration policy focuses on foreigners' integration in one generation and lower tolerance for internationals who do not "address their responsibilities."
Deputy Mayor Marnix Norder, The Hague's alderman for Urban Development, Public Housing and Integration, stated: "We want to speed up the pace of integration and do away with the idea that permissiveness is tolerated."
The Integration Outlines 2011-2014 as well as possible fines are to be examined over the upcoming months.
