Buyer Administrator | Fashion Industry

Do you have a passion for fashion and a strong affinity for fabrics? In this role, you will collaborate closely with suppliers as well as the product, sales, and IT teams. You will be responsible for managing the cut-to-length fabric collection and handling customer-specific fabric orders.
As a Buyer Administrator, you will play a key role in managing supplier collections and customer fabric orders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with high-end European fabric suppliers and mills.
- Planning and overseeing seasonal fabric and lining selections for suppliers.
- Selecting the best-matching trims for fabrics (e.g., thread, lining, undercollar felt).
- Importing fabrics and linings into the PDM system.
- Coordinating and arranging the distribution of fabric and lining bunches, including invoicing follow-ups.
- Maintaining an up-to-date archive of cut-to-length fabrics and linings.
- Negotiating and maintaining accurate material pricing.
- Monitoring stock availability in the system.
- Tracking buying volumes and handling supplier complaints.
- Processing customer-specific fabric orders on a weekly basis.
- Assisting the customer operations team with material-related inquiries.
Requirements:
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for high-quality textiles.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in fashion or a related field (HBO level).
- Knowledge and/or experience with fabrics.
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in men’s fashion wear and textile knowledge (a plus).
- A proactive, flexible mindset with strong organizational skills.
- A hands-on, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
- Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
