The RSM Career Centre is seeking a Career Development Manager for a temporary 9-month assignment to join the BSc/MSc team.
Job description
As a Career Development Manager, you will play a key role in preparing our BSc, MSc and MBA students for their future careers. You will guide them through the journey of discovering and shaping impactful careers. With your experience, you will advise students, present at information sessions and panels, create new opportunities both inside and outside the curriculum, and oversee the Internship Course elective in the students' third year of their bachelor’s program. You will collaborate with Employer Relations Managers, other Career Development Managers, the Office Manager, and Student Assistants to provide comprehensive support for our students.
Your daily activities and responsibilities include:
- Internship Course: You will manage the Internship elective for the third year of our Bachelor's program, organizing and presenting information sessions, handling administrative tasks with the Office Manager, and coordinating the course with the Academic Coordinator.
- Workshops: You will plan and facilitate key workshops on topics including CV & Cover Letter writing, interview preparation, LinkedIn optimization, and networking.
- Career Conversations: You will host "Coffee with Careers," offering students the opportunity to discuss their career planning and challenges related to their future careers.
- Events and Presentations: You will participate in various events organized by colleagues, such as panel discussions and presentations. Internal stakeholder management will be a key part of your daily tasks.
- Career Coaching: You may be asked to coach a small number of MBA students in finding the next job in their career.
You will be part of a close-knit, dynamic team on a vibrant university campus. While you will have the autonomy to work independently, you will also thrive in a strong team environment that encourages open feedback and fosters a sense of camaraderie. You will find energy in public speaking, organizing, coaching students and handling administrative tasks (such as email correspondence).
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in business, management, marketing, HRM, psychology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role at a business school or experience as a (commercial) recruiter, career counselor, and/or learning and development specialist.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Dutch is a strong plus.
- Confidence in presenting to large groups.
- Self-motivation, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently.
- A solid understanding of customer needs, with a willingness to innovate and improve.
- Experience in facilitating and executing workshops.
- The ability to work with culturally diverse students, faculty, and staff.

- A salary between € 3,600 – 4,600 gross per month on fulltime basis (ex. 8% holiday allowance), based on your education, knowledge and work experience.
