In March 2025, De Plesman will open its doors in Scheveningen, The Hague. This brand-new hotel and restaurant concept is located in an iconic building where dunes, forest, city, and beach come together. Independent Hospitality has been exclusively appointed to recruit the restaurant team, and we are currently looking for a Pastry Chef to join this exciting venture.


  • Creating and preparing a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods;

  • Designing and presenting innovative dessert menus in collaboration with the Head Chef;

  • Ensuring mise-en-place is ready for smooth and efficient service;

  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety in the pastry kitchen;

  • Managing inventory and sourcing the best ingredients for your creations;

  • Training and mentoring junior staff within the pastry team.

Requirements:

What will you bring to the team?

* You have 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role. You'll be on top of our list if you gained this experience at a 4/5-star hotel;
* Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays;
* You speak English fluently;
* You preferably live in the vicinity of The Hague.
