Our client, a leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner to manage and optimize their supply chain network across the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will play a crucial part in optimizing inventory levels and fostering strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
This is a temporary position until June 2025 for 32 hrs per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute supply chain plans based on demand forecasts for finished goods, semi-finished goods, and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).
- Align production capacity with demand forecasts by working closely with external manufacturing partners.
- Prepare for disruptions or shifts in demand through scenario planning.
- Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and collaborate in country Integrated Business Planning (IBP) meetings.
- Manage SKU demand and supply parameters to ensure accurate planning.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including external manufacturing partners and regulatory affairs teams.
- Coordinate production schedules with external partners to ensure timely product manufacturing and delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels across the supply chain.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, such as diversifying suppliers or increasing safety stock.
- Utilize data insights to improve supply chain efficiency and analyze trends to inform future planning.
- Develop supply chain plans that account for production and packaging capacities.
- Prepare reports on supply chain performance, addressing key metrics and issues.
- Participate in or initiate the S&OP process.
- Oversee operational activities in SAP, including inventory control for API and packaging materials at external sites
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Min. 3 yrs of experience in supply chain planning, ideally within the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Please note:
This is a temporary cover position, planned to start in December this year for a duration of 6 months. Therefore, we can only consider candidates who are already based in the Netherlands and available to start on the 1st of December. We are only able to consider candidates who already have a valid working permit.
