Quality Assurance Director

We are seeking a seasoned QA professional to join one of the world's leading toy manufacturers. This role will involve overseeing the quality of all products produced in the EU and UK, ensuring compliance with both internal and external quality standards. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing and mitigating any safety concerns that arise.



The Quality Assurance Director will be responsible for:


  • Ensuring all processes are in compliance with relevant regulatory legislation and proactively stay aware of upcoming developments and changes;

  • Review all test failures/rejections in order to ensure that root causes have been identified and corrective actions have been implemented;

  • Promoting quality improvements across the organization and ensuring practices are in-line with the global company procedures;

  • Monitor and identify changes and potential impacts within the safety, environmental, and social responsibility legal landscape. This includes reviewing the requirements of licensors and clients as well;

  • Serve as the quality and safety liason between all EU and UK sales teams;

  • Participate in all planned product launches in order to ensure that each developed product is in line with relevant EU legal standards;

  • Act as the EU QA Database administrator;

  • Communicate with EU and UK retail accounts in order to identify their specific requirements and ensure that the products comply with their own specifications.


A competitive salary between 120.000 and 125.000 gross per year will be offered in accordance with your experience and knowledge. We will discuss working conditions, travel, and additional benefits in our initial conversation.

Requirements:

In order to succeed in this role, we ask that you have:

5-10 years experience in QA Management or related, preferably in a toy manufacturer;
In depth knowledge of both domestic and international safety and quality standards, specifically for toys and children's consumer products;
Relevant Bachelor's Degree (ex: Engineering/Tech/Science/Chemical);
Knowledge of RoHS & WEEE procedures;
Six Sigma and/or professional certification preferred;
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and ability to negotiate with local authorities;
Willingness to travel;
Membership in European Toy Association (or other committees) would be highly desired.
