This a bit out of the ordinary opportunity as we are currently searching for a Dutch-speaking Office Assistant for a temporary part-time position (4 hrs/week) for one of our clients in Amsterdam. Our client is a scale-up company in the food tech industry from France, and they are currently seeking for a well-organized and proactive candidate with some experience in secretarial/administrative and office coordination to support the country's General Manager with administrative and organizational tasks and HR-related tasks. You will be asked to come to the office during the working hours, and we are therefore searching for someone who is based in Amsterdam, and who is immediately available.

This is a temporary position for approx. 3 months, and you will be offered a contract through us, Adams Multilingual Recruitment.

What you will do 

  • Provide support to the General Manager.
  • Book and manage travel arrangements for the General Manager and the team.
  • Coordinate and communicate with recruitment agencies for recruitment processes.
  • Coordinate with the HR advisor for the administration of contracts and other employee information.
  • Prepare the on-boarding process and work equipment for new hires in link with France HQ.
  • Manage office equipment and contracts with suppliers/vendors for stationery and other office supplies.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing posts. 
  • Manage office expenditures, receipts, and payment of invoices.
  • Organize and translate company documents as well as perform other office administrative tasks.
  • Schedule meetings, events and clients appointments.

Who you are

  • Previous experience of working in similar positions such as HR assistant, administrative coordinator, or personal assistant, preferably within a start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Negotiation skills to arrange contracts with suppliers
  • Great written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch. If you speak French that is a strong plus
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • A team player with a professional and can-do attitude
