Shashi Beltgens

My knowledge of TESOL, including experiences teaching for the British Council in Venezuela and Vietnam and other language centers in Thailand, The Netherlands, Turkey and New York have made me a better teacher. My experiences in foreign countries have not only helped me to acquire an invaluable teaching skill, but gave me insight into the cultural differences which can be challenging to cope with in class. I have always made an effort to make sure that students are comfortable in their learning environment. Students from each country are made to feel proud of their culture. So my diverse teaching experience and the understanding of other cultures help me to assess the needs and fears of the students.
