Ru Paul’s Drag Race comes to the Netherlands - Meet the Dutch Queens
Worldwide phenomenon Ru Paul’s Drag Race is coming to the Netherlands with Drag Race Holland premiering on September 18. Meet the Queens hoping to become the Netherlands’ first Drag Race Superstar.
Ru Paul’s Drag Race
Ru Paul’s Drag Race is a competition series, documenting American Drag Queen, Ru Paul, and his search for America’s next drag superstar. Contestants are given different challenges every week, with the bottom two contestants fighting for their spot with an iconic lip sync battle at the end of every episode.
The American series has been so successful that it inspired a number of spin-off shows, including Drag Race All Stars - where past contestants that have had successful careers after appearing on the show attempt to prove themselves and earn a spot in the Drag Queen Hall of Fame - as well as Canada’s Drag Race, Drag Race UK, and Drag Race Thailand.
Drag Race Holland
Now, the Netherlands is the latest country to join the Drag Race franchise, with Drag Race Holland premiering on Videoland (and internationally on WOW Presents Plus) on September 18. 10 Queens from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Breda, and Antwerp will be battling it out over the course of the series to become the Netherlands' first Drag Race Superstar.
The series will be hosted by Fred van Leer, seen in the video above. Van Leer is a stylist and presenter, taking part in a number of successful Dutch spin-offs, including Holland's Next Top Model, and Say Yes To The Dress Benelux.
