VkusVill is a healthy supermarket and a unique concept in the Netherlands. 95 percent of their products are without additives and are sourced from local suppliers.

The small-scale neighbourhood deli offers, besides Russian and local products, ready-to-eat meals, take-away snacks and home delivery services. Every day the Amsterdam stores offer samples, and at weekends they organise free tasting sessions of specific products while customers hear all about them.

No additives

The neighbourhood store with a focus on fresh and healthy food has two locations in Amsterdam. Amsterdammers are able to get acquainted with the Russian supermarket VkusVill, thanks to a branch in the Ferdinand Bolstraat and one in the Kinkerstraat. The small-scale neighbourhood supermarket only sells "clean label" products without E-numbers and additives, and everything comes from producers and farmers in the immediate vicinity.

The goal of the Russian founder of VkusVill is to make local food accessible and affordable for everyone. Every day of the week in the Kinkerstraat store, cooks prepare fresh dishes, soups and pies, cooked with high-quality products.

VkusVill values people’s time by doing research and focusing on fresh and tasty ready-to-eat food, so you don't have to! Therefore, customers gain positive feelings from the healthy food, and can focus on the pleasure of eating and tasting, without worrying about what's in it. What's more, VkusVill sells absolutely unique products, which you can't find in other stores!

VkusVill Special Selection

At their stores, VkusVill sells special products, exclusively made by and for VkusVill. Tvorog and kefir, for instance, were produced in collaboration with De Buitenhoeve farm. Since tvorog is not very well-known in the Netherlands, the Russian VkusVill team were trying to get the best result by experimenting, tasting, testing and finally, they came up with the perfect product.

Ready-to-eat food

Every day, Russian chefs prepare fresh dishes, snacks and appetisers with local ingredients. On any given week, you will find quiches, potato and vegetable pancakes known as draniki, or beef stroganoff to take home. Every Friday night, to kick off the weekend, they serve Georgian pizza khachapuri.

Cheese & spreads

Besides the best farmers' cheeses from the Netherlands and Dutch buffalo mozzarella, VkusVill sells several homemade jams and savoury spreads. Of course, all of them are free from chemically derived colours, preservatives or artificial flavours.

Dairy  and eggs

VkusVill's fresh milk, yoghurt, kefir and eggs come directly from De Buitenhoeve and Buitengoed de Boomgaard Dutch farms. For the more plant-based food lovers, VkusVill offers at least four different kinds of vegan milk.

Frozen food

A nice and wide selection of frozen goods are available - handmade, pre-prepared frozen dumplings, cashew-based ice cream, sour cream from a local farm, mushroom burgers - are all found in the coldest Vkusvill department.

Russian products

Obviously, at VkusVill you will find the best caviar in Amsterdam! Say no more!

Alcohol

You'll find the best Georgian biodynamic wines (free from extra sulfites); from the homeland of Czech Republic, motherland of beers, VkusVill imports pils and Kvas from Belgium. You can also find kombucha, tasty soft drinks, both with low sugar and fruit drinks with natural sugars. Fermented drinks are not only popular, but they're also healthy, tasty and with bubbles.

Coffee and tea

Roasted coffee from Amsterdam-based Lot61 is served in the store, but you can also take Lot61 beans or ground coffee home to make your own. Lot61 is on a mission to become a circular coffee brand in every aspect of its field, and wants to make sure that they use natural resources - materials, energy, water - to leave a positive impact on our planet.

Tea drinkers have a choice of beautifully wrapped herbal teas, all without caffeine, perfect for before going to bed. VkusVill also sells roasted chicory root: the organic decaffeinated alternative to coffee.

Snacks and sweets

In the store, you will find healthy (organic) snacks for children, including the sausage-shaped sweet candy bar called churchkhela made from dried grape juice and walnuts, chocolate, nuts coated with chocolate and fruity meringue.

Bread

Their sourdough, spelt and wholegrain breads hail from Jordi’s bakery in Rotterdam. Jordi uses pure ingredients and the bread is baked the traditional way. That’s what the people like and that’s why VkusVill offers it!
