About College Club
The College Club hosts inspiring, evening lectures for young professionals in the Netherlands to increase general knowledge and expand their networks. Courses don't include homework or exams, however there are always drinks afterwards!
This spring, The College Club features an interesting course geared towards an international audience titled Globalisation: is the American Century over?
About the course
The first session of this three-part course centres around key trends in world politics; including the economic, political and social globalisation of non-state groups like terrorist networks and international corporations.
Dr. Philipp Pattberg will lead the course, in English, raising questions about the effects of increased globalisation and power politics.
Participants are encouraged to interact and propose questions for discussion.
About Dr. Pattberg
Philipp Pattberg is Associate Professor for Transnational Environmental Governance at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) of the VU University Amsterdam and a research leader at the Amsterdam Global Change Institute (AGCI).
