Description:
Are you a sociable person studying or going to study in Rotterdam? And would you like to share this adventure with two roommates, living together as a little family? This means that you motivate and support each other in your studies, shop, prepare and eat meals together, chill out together and engage in social activities together (cinema, shopping, sports, going out, city trips (Amsterdam, Utrecht, Brugge), and perhaps even organize vacation together). And when one of you is going through a rough patch, the others are there for support. Of course, you also have your own bedroom where you can study quietly or retreat if you want privacy. If this is not what you are looking for, then this apartment is not suitable for you. If, on the other hand, you do recognize yourself in this description, then we invite you kindly to continue reading.
The apartment is a beautiful apartment in a 1930’s building. Great location, just 450m from Kralingse Plas (lake) and park (great for running and other activities). The Kralingen area is by far the most popular area among students. Close to University, lots of shops, restaurants and close to city center, public transport and highway. Erasmus University is only a 10 minute bike ride (2.4 km) away and stop for tram 7 to Erasmus University is only 200m away.
The apartment is modern and the rooms are fully furnished for use as a student room (each room has a bed, desk, chair (or couch) and closet space), with a shared bathroom and two separate toilets (shared), one on each floor. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. There are a number of balconies to sit outside. The apartment was recently upgraded and refurbished in order to rent out to a small “family” of max three students (i.e., you will share the apartment with two flat mates, but each tenant has his/her own room). Nb. The pictures still show the furniture of the previous owner. Therefore, they provide a good idea of the room space, bathroom and kitchen, but not always of the new furniture.
All rooms are 18 m2, and all rooms have balconies, albeit of different sizes and exposure. The room on the top floor front side is actually a combination of a bed room and a study room, together 18 m2. There are five balconies in total. The apartment comes with a large living room (21 m2) and an extra study/guest room (6 m2). The living room has a dining table and a sitting area with a large TV. The additional study/guest room has a desk. The total apartment space is 119 m2.
The apartment is leased under one contract and each “family” member contributes his/her part of the rent, utility charges and household costs. As per August 31 (possibly earlier), the apartment will become available for rent. Leases generally end on August 30 of the next year. Registration with the Rotterdam municipality is allowed.
The all-in rate for this room is €1.242 per month, and the all-in rate for the entire apartment is €3.651 per month. The other two rooms are slightly cheaper at €1.224 resp €1.185 per month. This includes rent of the apartment, incl. technical upkeep of the apartment, introduction to Rotterdam, introduction to living in the Netherlands, point of contact for family/parents, coaching in terms of living away from home in a foreign country, study advice, thesis advice, municipal levies and building association fees. The above all-in price includes €170 per months for furniture, furnishings, bedlinen, towels and a fully equipped kitchen and €165 for the living room and extra guest room. The above all-in price also includes €95 as advance for utilities and internet, to be settled based on actual use. All prices are for a 12 months rental period.
The Ramlehweg apartment is one of the nicest student apartments available in Rotterdam. Visits or online viewings can be organized based on your wishes.
We strive to provide well-furnished apartments for a reasonable price, in traditional pre-war buildings in the nicest neighborhood of Rotterdam (Kralingen), close to the University, so that it is easy for you to feel safe and at home. At the same time, you will feel part of the Dutch student community, because you live, study, shop and socialize in Kralingen.
If anything is missing in the apartment, tenants simply ask us if they can order it, and we typically agree to reimburse them for the cost. We hope that we can help you find a comfortable place to live in Rotterdam Kralingen!
The all-in price of room A2 is € 1,224.
The all-in price of room B2 is € 1,242.
The all-in price of room B1 (together with B3) is € 1,185.
