Your journey to Dutch fluency starts in April with UvA Talen

With new courses starting this spring, now is a great time to dive in and start making progress towards your language learning goals! Thousands of students complete a UvA Talen course each year, earning an internationally recognised certificate and reaching a new language level in just a few weeks. Learn Dutch quickly with evening or intensive courses

If you’re living in the Netherlands, learning Dutch can open up new opportunities - at work, for your studies, or just in everyday life. UvA Talen’s Dutch courses cater to all levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers looking to refine their skills. 

• Evening group courses start in April and run throughout the summer, making it easy to fit learning into your schedule.
• Intensive daytime courses begin every four weeks, perfect for those who want to learn fast.
• Weekend courses are available four times per year for learners with a busy weekday schedule.

Need a more flexible approach?

For those who want one-on-one lessons, UvA Talen’s private courses can be tailored to your learning goals and availability.

If you need to master Dutch (or any of the other 13 languages they have to offer) in record time, the inTense programme offers a fully immersive experience. Over five consecutive days, you’ll be surrounded by the language - both in lessons and through engaging assignments like watching Dutch films, reading local news, and even going on real-world excursions with your teacher.

Learn at your own pace on their e-learning platform

Prefer to study independently? UvA Talen’s e-learning platform, The Language Academy, offers self-paced Dutch courses that let you learn anytime, anywhere. For extra support, the Online+Teacher option gives you access to five or 10 private lessons with an instructor for guidance along the way.
