Tilburg Law School is looking for a lecturer in International Business Law for the Department of Private, Business & Labour Law. The candidate will be responsible for teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses covering business law, finance, entrepreneurship, and technology, with a special focus on international students.

Aside from teaching, the role involves mentoring graduate students, participating in departmental committees, and establishing connections with industry partners and law firms. Interest in business, technology, and legal design is crucial. Candidates are also encouraged to participate in research, especially within the framework of the "Connecting Responsible Organizations" research plan. Pursuing a PhD is supported but not required.

Requirements:

  • You hold an LLM (or equivalent) in private, business, corporate, or commercial law.

  • You are expected to provide on-campus education, and you must be based in the Netherlands for this role.

Salary Benefits:

  • A position based on 0,8-1,0 FTE(32-40 hours per week). 
  • A salary of minimum of € 3.345,= and maximum € 5.278,= gross per month for full-time employment, based on UFO profile Lecturer 4 and salary scale 10. Tilburg University uses a neutral remuneration system based on relevant education and work experience. 
  • This is a vacancy for a temporary position in accordance with Article 2.3 paragraph 5 of the CLA for Dutch universities. You will be given a temporary employment contract for the duration of 6 years; 
  • Vacation pay of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3%. 
  • Over 8 weeks of vacation leave. 
  • The opportunity to work partly on campus and partly from home with a home office allowance of €2 per day.
  • Reimbursement for sustainable commuting: walking, cycling, and public transportation. 
  • A monthly internet fee of €25.
