Your position
The Department of Culture Studies provides a BA track, and four MA tracks, and participates in a Research MA track. All are taught in English. The main task of this position lies in contributing to the design of a new BA Culture Studies track in Dutch. You will also take up of co-teaching in the BA and the MA Culture Studies, supporting the design of a revised Research Master track in Communication and Culture Studies, and take part in editorial tasks for Diggit Magazine, our digital platform for researchers and students.

Your profile meets the following criteria:
- MA graduate in relevant field, such as Culture Studies, Dutch Language and Literature, or Media Studies;
- Experience in teaching at university level;
- University Teaching Qualification (or the ambition to obtain the UTQ);
- English and Dutch language proficiency;
- Flexible and pro-active colleague, eager to participate in our teaching program.

A position based on 0,6 till 0.8 FTE.
Depending on education and experience, you will be classified as lecturer 4 with salary in scale 10 of the Dutch Universities collective labour agreement. For Lecturers 4 the salary range is scale 10, steps 0 to 6 (min. € 3345,- to max. € 4340,- full-time gross monthly salary).
Tilburg University uses a neutral remuneration system based on relevant education and work experience.
This is a temporary position for 12 months.
Vacation pay of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.
Over 8 weeks of vacation leave.
The opportunity to work partly on campus and partly from home with a home office allowance of €2 per day.
Reimbursement for sustainable commuting: walking, cycling, and public transportation.
A monthly internet fee of €25.
