Junior Shipping and Customs Officer

As a shipping and customs officer, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our international shipping activities, ensuring that all customs and transport operations align with regulatory standards and company policies. You'll face the challenge of managing complex customs procedures and coordinating with various departments and external parties to ensure timely and cost-effective transport solutions. We're looking for someone with a vocational education level in transport or customs, proficiency in Dutch and English, and at least 1-2 years of experience, ideally with SAP knowledge.Responsibilities:

• Coordination: manage and coordinate international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and company procedures.
• Documentation: prepare and issue customs documentation using dedicated software, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Optimization: seek the most cost-effective transportation solutions, obtaining necessary approvals and optimizing logistics processes.
• Communication: inform suppliers and internal teams about customs documentation requirements, fostering clear and effective collaboration.
• Safety: uphold Saipem's health, safety, quality, and environmental policies in all shipping and customs activities.

Requirements:

Seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Customs Officer with a knack for efficiency and regulatory compliance.

• MBO-level education in transport or customs.
• 1-2 years in transport, customs, or port operations.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages a plus.
• Proficient in SAP and customs documentation.
• Knowledge of INCO terms and export procedures.
