Postdoc responsible supply chains: from compliance to due diligence

In the department of Technology and Operations Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), we aim to find an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to work with us on an ambitious research project together with other knowledge partners and public and private stakeholders. Our research results will be published in reputed academic journals in the field of operations research and/or supply chain management.

Job description
These are your main tasks as our postdoctoral researcher:

  • Write a literature survey.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative research based on interviews and workshops with stakeholders and data from blockchain-based systems developed in the use cases. This may also involve the development of mathematical models.
  • Report to the consortium and to broader stakeholder groups.
  • Prepare academic publications.

Requirements:

In addition to showing us that you’re an inspired, ambitious and competent researcher, this is what we require from you:

  • Completed PhD study (or one you expect to complete by spring 2025) in management or a related field
  • Strong analytical background and knowledge of quantitative methods
  • An aptitude to work with industry partners and stakeholders
  • Keen research interest in global sustainable supply chains
  • Demonstratable potential for excellence in research, i.e., you can show your contribution to publications or submissions in high-ranking journals
  • Strong commitment to high-quality research
  • Proven English language skills, both written and spoken
  • High value for research with practical relevance that is impactful to academics and practitioners alike
