SRE Reliability Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our AWS Cloud Team from the coolest DevOps Center in Europe. Are you ready to take your career to the next level and join us?

What you move?
We are forming a new SRE
Team which is responsible for around 20 applications. The applications are in
different AWS accounts in Kubernetes clusters (EKS). These are several hundred
Java Spring Boot microservices and angular frontends.

and play a crucial role in maintaining and
enhancing the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud
infrastructure. You
will work closely with internal platform engineers and business development
teams (our clients) to ensure their applications run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilites:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient iAWS infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are designed with reliability in mind.
  • Manage and operate Kubernetes clusters using EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
  • Utilize tools like Opsgenie, Grafana Labs, and other monitoring solutions to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Contribute to the implementation of GitOps practices for infrastructure as code.
  • Improve and follow-up on alerting and alarming.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, application, and deployment pipelines.
  • Implement automation for repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Define and execute the on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
  • Create and operate new Services in the iAWS infrastructure.
  • First contact for agile teams for all related gitops and iAWS infrastructure questions and concerns.
  • Portfolio: starting with DOCP applications and in a next steps all applicaitons in iAWS of the OCE organization.
  • Maintain and improve runbooks.

Requirements:

  • CI/CD experience (execution and develoment).
  • Monitoring / Observability experience with Promotheus / Grafana.
  • Affinity to AWS products.
  • General technical affinity (basic knowhow on SpringBoot / Angular apps)
  • Understanding of SRE principles.
  • Familiarity with tools like Opsgenie, (Jenkins), gitlab, and Python scripting.
  • Solid understanding of GitOps principles and infrastructure as code.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Eager to learn, curious and willingness to support the team (on call).

Contract terms
