An established and renowned company in the global market, recognized for its excellence in the food industry, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Sr. International Account Manager to join our expanding team.This opportunity is based at our centrally located office in the lively city center of Rotterdam.Joining an international Sales team of 12 professionals, and supported by a dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in achieving our sales goals. As the Sr. International Account Manager, your primary focus will be on managing food sales business in Poland and Central Eastern Europe, covering Branded and Private label FMCG, as well as Industrial raw materials.Reporting directly to the General Sales Manager, located in our Rotterdam office, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling top clients collaboratively with the General Sales Manager.
  • Full responsibility for your designated region.
  • Maintaining an established client portfolio and generating business with new clients (Private label, Branded goods, and Industrial goods).
  • Executing the Marketing Plan for Branded goods in collaboration with Marketing colleagues.
  • Working closely with various departments (Buying, Logistics, Marketing).
  • Coordinating the sales cycle internally and externally to drive results.
  • Determining and monitoring your sales budget as approved by the General Sales Manager.
  • Forecasting sales in your region.
  • Preparing required reports and sharing knowledge with fellow Senior International Account Managers (e.g., sales budget, stock report, sustainability report).
  • Drawing up and monitoring account plans for the assigned market sector, including competitor analysis and compiling monthly reports and customer visit reports.
  • Developing and sustaining an assigned market sector (geographically determined) through account maintenance, product range upkeep, and regular customer visits/participation in fairs.
  • Executing and following up on the sales process (Offer, Contract Negotiation, Contract Execution).
  • Formulating and monitoring reliable Sales forecasts, including the collection of necessary information.
  • Collaborating with Marketing and/or customers to develop and realize campaigns (e.g., actions, promotions).
  • Analyzing current and competitive products and contributing to the development of new products.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Polish and English (verbal and written).
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or graduate caliber.
  • Essential 10 years of international experience directly with Retailers.
  • Relevant experience in FMCG, preferably in Food.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Assertiveness and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Curiosity to stay updated on relevant market developments.
  • Analytical insight for extracting market information essential for new business opportunities.
  • Hands-on approach to achieving goals.
  • Ability to think out of the box and generate new business opportunities.
  • Independence and good team player capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel abroad (approximately once per month to Poland).
