The Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) invites applications for a Lecturer in Finance. You will join the Finance Section of the department. Your job
As a lecturer, you will teach courses at the Bachelor's and Master's levels. You will take care of good teaching in accordance with our academic and departmental guidelines. You teach in (some of) the areas of financial management, corporate finance, asset pricing and/or financial economics. Teaching is within the programmes of the School of Economics, as well as in programmes of other faculties. Furthermore, you supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses and other research projects by students. All teaching is in English.
Requirements:
- You have or are close to completing a PhD in finance (preferred) or a related discipline.
- You demonstrate a clear potential for excellence in teaching different finance courses at both Bachelor's and Master's level.
- You have an excellent command of spoken and written English.
- You are in possession of a University Teaching Qualification or willing to obtain such a qualification.
- Affinity with sustainable finance is a plus.
Salary Benefits:
- A position for four years;
- a working week of 28-40 hours and a gross monthly salary between €4,537 and €6,209 in the case of full-time employment (salary scale 11 under the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU));
- 8% holiday pay and 8.3% year-end bonus;
- a pension scheme, partially paid parental leave and flexible terms of employment based on the CAO NU.
