Will you be the new assistant coordinator of the European network of legal experts in gender equality and non-discrimination? The Utrecht University Faculty of Law, Economics and Governance is looking for you!

Your job
As the assistant coordinator, you will provide support in all the coordination activities and deliverables of the gender stream of the European Equality Law Network in close collaboration with the other team members. This involves providing management support both related to content as well as project administration tasks and communicating effectively with the network’s consortium partners, the 41 national gender equality experts, as well as the European Commission. You will in particular be responsible for the following tasks:

  • providing support in keeping track of the timely delivery of the different deliverables, managing workflow charts and carrying out other project administration tasks;
  • carrying out the review and finalisation of the national flash reports and other deliverables if so required;
  • assisting with the drafting and coordination of the gender equality parts of the European Equality Law Review;
  • supporting and helping further develop the network’s dissemination activities.


This position provides an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to gain first-hand knowledge of current developments in EU gender equality law, to gain coordination skills, and to expand their network.

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • has a completed Master’s degree in European law or (international) human rights law;
  • a team-player, with excellent communication skills;
  • the ability to work accurately and independently;
  • excellent command of both verbal and written English; command of Dutch and/or French is an asset;
  • an affinity with gender-related research;
  • an affinity with international project management;
  • experience with communicating and disseminating information on social media and through other channels.

Salary Benefits:

  • A contract until 31 December 2025;
  • a working week of 16 hours and a gross monthly salary between €3,378 and €3,707 in the case of full-time employment (salary scale 10 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU));
  • 8% holiday pay and 8.3% year-end bonus;
  • a pension scheme, partially paid parental leave and flexible employment conditions based on the collective labor agreement for Dutch Universities.
