QA Manager | Food Industry

Are you passionate about the food industry and are looking for your next step as a Q&A manager? Our client is setting up their European operations in Amstelveen and is looking for an enthusiastic Q&A manager to help put all compliance and quality related processes in place. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead Q&A initiatives for a brand recognized worldwide for its successful product lines and dedication to sustainability and technology.
As a Q&A manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing compliance with all country-specific European laws and food industry standards for their specific product range.This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and experience in quality assurance management in the food sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant European Union and country-specific food safety regulations, including allergen management, labeling, and packaging standards.
- Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) to maintain compliance across all markets.
- Keep updated on emerging food safety regulations and industry best practices, translating them into actionable compliance strategies
- Regular and transparent communication with our production and head office based in South Korea
- Manage quality control processes, including product testing, batch approvals, and audits to ensure product consistency and safety.
- Lead the establishment of quality benchmarks and procedures, driving a culture of quality within the organization.
- Act as the primary contact for wholesalers, retailers, and consumers regarding product quality inquiries, regulatory questions, and complaints.
- Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring that all communication reflects the company's commitment to quality and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain thorough documentation for all quality assurance activities, including inspection records, audit findings, and corrective actions.
- Report regularly to senior management on quality metrics, regulatory updates, and areas for improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance within the food industry
- Extensive knowledge of European food regulations and standards, including experience in interpreting and applying country-specific requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an asset. Professional level in Korean is preferred.

The way of working:
This is an onsite role where you need to be in the office 5 days a week in the office in Amstelveen.
