Field Technician | English

Do you enjoy being on the road and providing hands-on support? Our client specializes in traffic data collection and analysis. They provide a range of products and services designed to measure and analyze traffic flow, vehicle speeds, and other related data. Currently, they are looking for a Field Technician who goes onsite to install the equipment and analyze data.  

Purpose of the Position:
The role involves planning and conducting traffic surveys using automatic traffic counters, processing and delivering traffic survey reports, and participating in promotional activities to secure new contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

Survey Planning:

• Plan and schedule traffic surveys
• Prepare site lists
• Maintain and prepare traffic survey equipment

Surveying:

• Install and set up traffic survey equipment
• Monitor survey progress
• Retrieve or relocate equipment according to the schedule
• Unload traffic survey data

Analysis and Reporting:

• Process traffic data using computer software
• Compile traffic survey reports
• Deliver results to clients

Promotional Campaigns:

• Participate in company sales and promotional campaigns
• Prepare and submit tender responses and quotations

Administration:

• Perform company administrative duties as required
• Assist with general office tasks

Skills, Attributes, and Experience:

• Fluency in English is must
• Possession of a valid Dutch diriving license for cars and light commercial vehicles (Category B)
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools such as small drills and handcutters for installations
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel)
• General knowledge of personal computing equipment
• Willingness to engage in all company activities, including sales and traffic survey tasks
• Ability to travel throughout the Netherlands
• Completion of secondary education qualifying for tertiary entrance, with relevant subjects (e.g., sciences, business administration)
• University diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

The way of working:
This is a Monday to Friday job. Depending on the season, but you will be on the site 50% of your time, and 50% in the office.
They have an office in Rotterdam and Zwolle, but you can be based anywhere in the Netherlands as the freaquency to commute to the office can be discussed.
