In this dynamic 12-month contractor position based in Mechelen, Belgium, you'll tackle the exhilarating challenge of executing cellular assays to advance drug discovery. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of creating life-changing medicines, and you'll be an essential part of a team dedicated to making a real impact in the field of oncology. Responsibilities:
- Design and execute laboratory experiments, contributing to multiple research projects within the oncology therapeutic area.
- Independently carry out experiments using a variety of techniques and systems, following detailed protocols.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and ensure meticulous documentation in Lab Notebooks.
- Present findings to your line manager and participate actively in team discussions.
- Adhere to EHS guidelines to maintain a safe laboratory environment, while working within set timelines.
Requirements:
Seeking a dedicated Associate Scientist with a strong background in oncology drug discovery.
- Bachelor's in biology, biochemistry, or related field
- 2+ years in drug discovery, flow cytometry expertise
- Proficient in human cell culture, additional in vitro techniques
- Strong communicator in professional English, oral and written
- Independent, organized, can start February 2025
