Are you passionate about understanding consumer market trends and behavior? 

We're currently working with a leading Asian food company known for its iconic FMCG food products, which have seen remarkable success in the European market. To further expand its presence, the company has launched a new European HQ in Amstelveen. As part of this exciting growth, we are looking for a Market Intelligence & Consumer Insights lead to help build a strong foundation for its European market strategy.  

Key Responsibilities

Market Intelligence (MI)

  • Develop strategic insights based on regional market research and analysis.
  • Identify business opportunities by tracking local and global market trends.
  • Analyze competitors and implement benchmarking strategies.
  • Assess market risks and opportunities by evaluating economic, industrial, and consumer trends.
  • Collaborate with headquarters and overseas subsidiaries to develop localized global marketing strategies.
  • Collect and refine data-driven market intelligence processes.

Customer Insight (CI)

  • Develop marketing strategies by analyzing local customer data and deriving key insights.
  • Formulate tailored approaches based on consumer behavior, cultural nuances, and purchasing patterns.
  • Define customer segmentation and personas for targeted marketing efforts.
  • Leverage CRM data to enhance customer experience and engagement.
  • Conduct NPS surveys, customer questionnaires, and VOC analysis to drive improvements.
  • Work closely with global and local teams to implement customer-focused strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in market research and customer insights within FMCG companies or consulting firms.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, cultural dynamics, and brand perception.
  • Hands-on experience in data analysis and field research.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and BI tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration in multinational teams.
  • Fluency in English for communication with headquarters.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in CRM data analysis and customer segmentation.
  • Background in brand marketing and consumer research.
  • Expertise in digital marketing data analysis.
  • Experience working with multinational organizations.
  • Proficiency in additional European languages or Korean.

The way of working:

This is an onsite role where you need to be in the office 5 days a week in the office in Amstelveen.
