Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Roles & responsibilities:
You are expert in locating and troubleshooting plant failures. You are also involved in maintenance stops and new construction projects. In short, you have a versatile job! Depending on how big the job is, you work independently or in a team. You check equipment such as flow meters, pressure transmitters and temperature indicators. Are the instruments calibrated? Do they need to be replaced? Are the settings right, or do they need repair? All questions you have the answers to. You then carry out the necessary action and take care of the administrative processing of, for example, test sheets. You work according to a schedule and take the applicable safety rules into account.
Requirements:
Requirements for the role include:
- Diploma in electrical engineering or Instrument Technician;
- Measurement and control engineering course, or willingness to follow this course;
- Fluent in Afrikaans/Dutch and English (European citizens can apply with English only);
- You are curious and eager to learn;
- You can work well under time pressure;

What do we offer?
Contract wise:
· 2-year contract of 40 hours per week (with potential of long-term employment).
· 25 paid holidays a year (+ potential ADV days)
· Public holidays, with a maximum of 7 per year, which are paid by Xelvin.
· Holiday allowance of 8.33% (instead of 8,0%) over your total gross annual income. Paid each year in May.
· Overtime and shift allowance will be paid by Xelvin accordingly.
· Travel allowance of €0,23 per km, for the use of travelling to work and back home.
·The salary will be around €3909 gross per month.
