Job Description
We are looking for a University Teacher for the Operations, Planning, Accounting and Control (OPAC) group (between 0.5 and 1.0 FTE). The OPAC group is part of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e)'s Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences Department, which has a worldwide reputation for high quality research and excellent educational programs. The OPAC group helps stakeholders across sectors to make smart, informed decisions, thereby contributing to more efficiency, enhanced (environmental) sustainability, better use of resources and reduced costs. The research of the group deals with the control of operational processes, which can be related to supply chains, manufacturing systems, high-tech equipment, distribution, transportation, warehousing, retail, and service processes such as equipment maintenance.
You will design and teach high-quality courses in the areas of finance and, especially, management and financial accounting. You are especially interested in designing realistic cases that can be used in the courses and that show students the practical relevance of the things they learn. Courses are mainly taught in the Bachelor program Industrial Engineering and the Master program Operations Management and Logistics. Also students from other programs at TU/e, mostly Bachelor programs, may decide to follow these courses. You will also be involved in supervising bachelor end projects and potentially guiding master thesis projects.
Requirements:

- You hold a Master's degree in the field of accounting, financial management, (business) economics, or a comparable domain (preferably also a PhD degree).
- You have the ability to teach and to design courses, shown by experience in teaching and positive evaluations of these teaching efforts.
- You have good communication skills.
- You have excellent proficiency (written and oral) in English.
