Quantum Measurement Engineer

Research / Academic
Delft

Are you passionate about quantum and do you want to contribute to quantum technology in a dynamic environment? Apply now to become a Quantum Measurement Engineer in our new startup initiative at QuTech!
Our mission is to develop scalable quantum processors based on our unique germanium semiconductor technology. In your role, you will contribute to this goal by installing and operating our quantum processors. You will measure and connect the qubits and optimize the qubit performance by gathering statistics on qubit quality. Moreover, you will largely automate this process. Your conclusions and feedback will enable the design, fabrication, and operation of large-scale and high-quality quantum processors.
As Quantum Measurement Engineer, you will work closely with our quantum fabrication engineers, who design and manufacture the germanium-based devices. Additionally, in future projects, you will collaborate with world-leading semiconductor manufacturers. Moreover, as the expert in your field, you will have the opportunity to represent our startup giving presentations at leading conferences in the field.
The envisaged timeframe for our startup to become an independent QuTech spinoff is approximately a year. During this period, we expect to grow our technical team beyond ten driven researchers and engineers. Embark on this journey with us today and benefit from the best of both worlds as you become a part of our startup launch while working with leading quantum researchers and engineers at QuTech.
Finally, creating an open, welcoming, and inclusive workplace is a core priority for us. We believe in nurturing a supportive environment where your thoughts and proactive approach will be highly appreciated. As the startup expands over the years, you will have the opportunity to grow and evolve alongside us.
